▲ Shin Ji-eun rises to the top of the leaderboard by a 5-stroke margin
Shin Ji-eun has maintained her lead for the second consecutive day at the LPGA Tour ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open.
During the second round of the tournament held at Dundonald Links in North Ayrshire, Scotland, Shin shot 5-under-par with six birdies and one bogey.
With a cumulative total of 11-under-par, Shin claimed the top spot on the leaderboard, pulling 5 strokes ahead of second-place Esther Henseleit of Germany, who sits at 6-under-par overall.
Having been co-leader after the first round, Shin stayed at the front for a second straight day, widening her gap over the runner-up to 5 strokes and raising expectations for her second career LPGA Tour victory.
Debuting on the LPGA Tour in 2011, Shin has not secured another win since her first victory at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout in May 2016.

Among other South Korean players, Yoon Ina followed in solo eighth place at 3-under-par overall, while Lee Mi-hyang tied for ninth at 1-under-par.
World No. 1 Nelly Korda of the United States dropped 4 strokes to fall into a tie for 41st place at 4-over-par overall.
