"Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger," a film capturing the historic reunion of the legendary British band Oasis and the intense journey of their 2025 world tour "Oasis Live '25 Tour," will premiere worldwide at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
"Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger" is a documentary film following the journey of the "Oasis Live '25 Tour," the most anticipated concert in the world since the reunion news of Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher.
Recording the massive concert that shook the global music scene in 2025 with fiery energy, the film vividly captures the moments shared by the fans and Oasis, as well as their explosive emotions. It draws keen attention as viewers can see rehearsals, backstage footage, performances, and a joint interview with the Gallagher brothers sitting together for the first time in over 20 years.
Going beyond a record of the sold-out world tour, "Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger" is a work that deeply examines the cultural explosiveness that set the world abuzz and the profound meaning Oasis's music has left behind across generations and borders.
It draws attention as Steven Knight, a writer, producer, and director who made his name worldwide with the BBC drama "Peaky Blinders" and was nominated for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) and the Academy Awards, took charge of planning. The film was directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, known for "Shut Up and Play the Hits" and "Meet Me in the Bathroom." Featuring close-up coverage and previously unreleased footage unavailable in any other documentary, "Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger" is produced by Magna Studios and presented by Sony Music Vision.
Additionally, Oscar-winning sound designer James Mather from "Top Gun: Maverick" and Tarn Willers from "The Zone of Interest" served as sound directors, while Harris Zambarloukos, the cinematographer for "Belfast" and "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," and editors George Cragg and Martina Zamolo participated as key production crew members, enhancing the film's quality.
"Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger" is scheduled to greet audiences first in theaters this September, followed by an exclusive release on Disney+ later this year.
