A Chinese man in his 60s has been arrested for allegedly wielding a weapon against a coworker.
The Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station announced today (July 24) that it arrested a Chinese man in his 60s, identified as A, on charges of attempted murder yesterday (July 23).
A is accused of inflicting injuries on a Chinese woman in her 60s who worked at the same workplace by stabbing her multiple times in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, at around 5:00 p.m. on July 21.
Right after the crime, A fled the scene but was apprehended by police officers who were dispatched following a report.
A is reportedly stated to the police that he committed the crime during an argument.
The victimized woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and her life is reportedly not in danger.
The police are currently investigating A to determine the exact motive and details of the incident.
