A man in his 60s has been apprehended by police for allegedly attempting to murder a mother and daughter living next door with a weapon while under the influence of alcohol in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Bucheon Sosa Police Station announced today (July 24) that they arrested a man in his 60s, designated as A, who stabbed his neighboring mother and daughter multiple times with a weapon at a multi-family housing unit in Sosa-gu, Bucheon, at around 2:30 PM on the 18th.
Police who were dispatched following a report arrested A at the scene and booked him on charges of attempted murder.
According to the investigation, it was found that A had gone to the neighboring house after drinking alcohol and committed the crime impulsively.
The victims are currently receiving treatment at a hospital and are reportedly not in life-threatening condition.
A police official stated that they plan to transfer A to the prosecutors' office after uncovering the detailed motives for the crime through additional investigations.
