The movie "COLONY" is launching its simultaneous theatrical and VOD service starting today (the 23rd).

According to its distributor Showbox, "COLONY" will begin offering its service starting on the 23rd across various online and mobile platforms, including IPTV and cable TV VOD. Viewers can watch it via IPTV (Genie TV, Btv, U+tv), digital cable TV (Studio Choice), OTT platforms (Wavve, Apple TV+, Coupang Play, Watcha, Google TV, YouTube, etc.), satellite broadcasting (Skylife), and web hard platforms.

"COLONY" depicts the story of survivors isolated inside a building blockaded due to an unidentified infection outbreak as they fight against infected individuals evolving in unpredictable ways. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who created "Train to Busan", the film stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyohwan, and Ji Changwook.

It drew attention after being invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival, and after opening domestically on May 21, it gathered 5.94 million moviegoers nationwide. This record places it second in the overall box office for 2026, following "The King's Warden" (16.91 million).

Having largely wrapped up its theatrical run, "COLONY" is set to greet viewers in their living rooms and on mobile devices through IPTV services.
