Zipline Cable Snaps Mid-Flight, Plunging Tourist 12 Meters Down

What was supposed to be a thrilling ride almost cost a man his life.

A terrifying accident occurred in India.

At a resort in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, a man ziplining through the air suddenly plummets straight down.

The 24-year-old tourist fell about 12 meters after his safety harness suddenly detached while he was on the zipline.

The fallen man was immediately rushed to a hospital and underwent surgery, but he reportedly sustained severe injuries to his arms and legs.

His family claims that the resort's poor safety inspections caused the accident, and they are demanding punishment for those responsible as well as the revocation of the resort's operating license.
