BLACKPINK member JENNIE has heightened anticipation for her comeback by releasing a music video teaser for her new song.
On the 22nd, JENNIE posted a short teaser video on her official TikTok account along with the caption, "Releasing the 'Less than a Lover' music video this Friday." The released video shows JENNIE and KAI standing side by side against the backdrop of a green field and a long, unpaved road. JENNIE looks into the camera and softly recites the lyrics of her new song before holding KAI's hand and running together, creating a vibe straight out of a youth film.
JENNIE participated in the overall production of this new song, including lyric writing and music video direction. Ahead of its official release, she performed it ahead of time on the stages of the US "The Governors Ball Music Festival 2026" and Spain's "Mad Cool Festival," garnering enthusiastic responses from global fans. She is also scheduled to take the stage next month at "Lollapalooza Chicago" in the US and "Summer Sonic 2026" in Japan.
Previously, JENNIE's agency, OA Entertainment, drew attention by releasing a photo on social media showing her sitting side by side as a couple with a man whose face was obscured. The man was confirmed to be KAI, a Taiwanese model active in South Korea.
Fans who came across the video left reactions such as, "It looks like a couple challenge is going to trend," "Their chemistry matches so well," "The visual aesthetics are like a movie," and "I am looking forward to the new song even more."
JENNIE's new solo single "Less than a Lover" will be released at 1 p.m. on the 24th.
