Broadcaster Kian84, known for his raw and unfiltered human charm, is embarking on South Korea's first-ever romance experiment with AI, the pinnacle of modern technology.
On July 22, the production team of the SBS program "My AI Partner - Strange Romance" announced that its premiere is officially set for Thursday, August 20, at 9 p.m.
"Strange Romance" is South Korea's first AI dating survival show that combines artificial intelligence technology with a romance reality format. Kian84 shares his daily life with his very own AI girlfriend, forming a special relationship that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.
In particular, anticipation is building for the unique chemistry between Kian84 and his AI partner, who possess contrasting charms. Prior to the first shoot, Kian84 shared his honest feelings, saying, "I thought I wouldn't be able to get immersed because it's a machine. I was worried because I can't act with falsehoods," but he is expected to show genuine sincerity as he soon faces unpredictable and rapid emotional changes.
The production team stated, "This is our first challenge featuring a reality show where someone dates AI itself, rather than just using AI as a simple assistant," adding, "Please watch to see what emotions and behaviors appear when an unfamiliar presence called AI enters Kian84's daily life, and what kind of ripple effect that relationship will have on his life."
