With only two episodes left until its finale, the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Agent Kim Reactivated" is showcasing its status as the biggest hit of 2026, exploding with unrivaled viewership ratings and immense buzz.

Episode 8 of "Agent Kim Reactivated," broadcast on the 18th, broke its own highest viewership rating once again, recording 23.6 percent in the metropolitan area, 23.1 percent nationwide, and a peak rating of 26.2 percent based on Nielsen Korea. Not only did it rank first across all channels in the same time slot, but its 2049 viewership rating also soared to an average of 7.6 percent and a peak of 8.59 percent, cheerfully rewriting the record for the highest viewership rating among miniseries in 2026.

Its momentum on the global stage shows no signs of stopping. According to Netflix's official site Tudum on the 22nd, "Agent Kim Reactivated" claimed the number one spot globally in the non-English TV shows category for three consecutive weeks. Proving a powerful global syndrome, it took first place in a total of 19 countries including South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Peru, while landing in the TOP 10 in 73 countries worldwide.

Domestic buzz indicators are also overwhelming. In addition to ranking first for three consecutive weeks in the TV drama buzz survey by Good Data Corporation's FUNdex for the third week of July, title role So Jisub ranked first in the actor brand reputation big data analysis for July by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, proving himself to be the number one contributor to the show's box office success. Major cast members such as Yoon Kyungho and Joo Sang Wook also made it onto the TOP 10 for drama cast buzz in large numbers.

In the previously broadcast 8th episode, Agent Kim (played by So Jisub) set out on his final mission to make a fresh start with his daughter Minji (played by Seo Su-min), but found himself in a desperate crisis as a traitor emerged within the Special Mission Bureau and even his daughter Minji was taken hostage.

The production team hinted, "The final phase will unfold where the choices, relationships, and conflicts of the characters that have been built up layer by layer collide all at once," adding, "Expectations-defying twists, heightened action, and developments that will leave you on the edge of your seat until the very end are coming." They further requested, "Please watch until the end to see what kind of conclusion Agent Kim and the 'dad universe's' final mission will meet."

Meanwhile, episodes 9 and 10 of the continuously dominant "Agent Kim Reactivated" will air at 9:50 p.m. on the 24th and 25th, respectively. Following that, "Agent Kim Reactivated Special" is scheduled to visit viewers on the 31st and August 1st.
