Iran's Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, which exercises unified command over the Iranian armed forces, issued a statement on the 22nd local time, warning that it will strike all U.S. assets in the Middle East if the United States attacks its nuclear facilities.
"The United States has threatened to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear and other vital facilities," the Central Headquarters stated. "If the military of that aggressor and terrorist country takes such action, we will consider it an intent to escalate conflict in the Middle East."
It further emphasized, "Should such an event occur, all U.S. assets, as well as those of its allies and proxy forces, will become targets for decisive attacks by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
Following the resumption of armed clashes with the U.S. earlier this month, Iran has primarily targeted U.S. military bases in the Middle East. Analysts interpret this warning as meaning that, depending on the circumstances, Iran could expand its targets to include non-military facilities such as energy infrastructure, financial institutions, and data centers, much like it did in the early stages of the war.
U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned on the 21st "Pickaxe Mountain" in central Iran, which is suspected to house underground nuclear facilities, warning that he would "hit that area very hard before long."
President Trump also stated, "Any place where they are even thinking about nuclear weapons, we will hit it very, very hard."
