Disney+ original series "Made in Korea Season 2", starring actors Hyun Bin and Jung Woosung, has confirmed its release for September, unveiling a teaser poster and pre-teaser trailer.
"Made in Korea Season 2" is a noir drama depicting the perilous journey of Baek Ki-tae as he races toward even greater ambitions nine years later. Having early on secured a spot on Time magazine's list of "Most Anticipated Korean Dramas of 2026," the series is raising anticipation to its absolute peak ahead of its release.
The newly released teaser poster immediately captures attention by showcasing the untouchable aura of Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin). Set against a spacious, heavy-aired office, Baek Ki-tae is seated in a relaxed manner, yet his expression hints at an inner emptiness despite seemingly achieving everything at the end of Season 1, drawing even more curiosity.
In particular, the nameplate clearly designating his title as "Chief Baek Ki-tae" and the striking copy, "Remember. We are doing this for our country, patriotism," heighten intrigue over Baek Ki-tae's dangerous path as he races forward toward his desires under the banner of patriotism, continuing from Season 1.
The concurrently released pre-teaser trailer heralds an unpredictable narrative by depicting Baek Ki-tae's intensified ambitions, the fractures surrounding him, and the emergence of a new faction.
Starting with the line, "I have waited for this moment for a very long time," the bold image of Baek Ki-tae sitting before the presidential office desk with a sharp gaze delivers intense immersion right from the beginning. This is followed by suspenseful scenes accompanied by the meaningful line, "Sometimes a single moment's choice changes the course of history," signaling the prelude to a massive incident that shakes South Korea.
Breathtaking action sequences interweave to heighten the tension. Notably, the tense confrontation between Baek Ki-tae and Baek Ki-hyun (Woo Do Hwan) raises questions about how their relationship will change, while the emergence of military factions opposing Baek Ki-tae's Central Intelligence Agency anticipates the prelude to a new power struggle. Finally, the reappearance of Jang Gun-young (Jung Woosung), who suffered defeat against Baek Ki-tae in Season 1, and the unabashed shock on Baek Ki-tae's face upon facing him foretell an unpredictable storm of bloodshed awaiting them, amplifying expectations.
"Made in Korea Season 2" is once again helmed by director Woo Min-ho, who directed Season 1, with South Korea's representative actors including Hyun Bin, Jung Woosung, Woo Do Hwan, Seo Eun-su, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, and Roh Jae-won once again delivering acting synergy.
Season 2 is scheduled for release in September 2026.
