Serbian professional football club Crvena Zvezda achieved a resounding victory in the first leg of the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League qualifying round.
Crvena Zvezda defeated Larne FC 4-0 in the first leg of the second qualifying round held at Inver Park in Larne, Northern Ireland.
Bruno Duarte, who scored the opening goal via a penalty kick in the 26th minute, led the team to victory with a brace, adding his second goal in the 67th minute.
Vasilije Kostov scored an additional goal in the 55th minute, and Muhammed Cham sealed the win in the 85th minute with a powerful long-range shot that found the top right corner of the net.
This match marked Crvena Zvezda's first official game of the new season.
Seol Young-woo, who started as a right-back and played the full 90 minutes, did not record an attacking point and received one yellow card.
As the winners of the 2025-2026 Serbian league, Crvena Zvezda entered the competition from the second qualifying round and boosted their chances of reaching the main tournament with a convincing win in their opening match.
Crvena Zvezda will host Larne for the second leg of the second qualifying round on July 30.
If they pass the second qualifying round, they will determine whether to advance to the playoff round for the main tournament through the third qualifying round in August.
The team that loses in the second qualifying round will compete in the third qualifying round of the Europa League, the second-tier European club competition.
