Jang Yoon Jeong's Mother Referred to Prosecution Over Fraud Allegations Involving Tens of Millions of Won

Police have arrested and referred the mother of singer Jang Yoon Jeong to the prosecution on charges of investment fraud involving tens of millions of won.

The Seoul Songpa Police Station announced today (July 21) that it has referred a woman surnamed Yook, who is facing charges including fraud, to the prosecution under arrest.

Yook is accused of receiving tens of millions of won from an acquaintance under the pretext of investment and failing to properly pay out the returns.

The police, who received the complaint, had previously suspended the investigation after failing to locate Yook. It is reported that they later tracked her down, obtained an arrest warrant, and took her into custody.
