For the first time in the history of the World Cup, a halftime show was introduced during the final match of the North and Central American World Cup. With BTS taking the stage, K-pop marked both the beginning and the end of this tournament.

The halftime show was introduced for the first time in the 96-year history of the World Cup.
The stage, opened by the Queen of Pop Madonna and handed over to world-renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel, continued with BTS.
The members wore outfits reminiscent of the Red Devils and performed their mega-hit song, "Dynamite."
As it was the World Cup final, they wittily changed some of the lyrics.
They expressed that sharing the stage with world-famous pop stars felt like a dream.

Four years ago at the Qatar World Cup, BTS member JUNG KOOK stood on stage alone, but this time, the group added significance by performing as a full ensemble.
BTS flew directly to New York immediately after their performance in Paris, and Billboard of the United States praised them, stating, "BTS delivered explosive energy to the crowd."
Previously, K-pop stars were also at the center of the opening ceremony stage for this World Cup.
Singer and composer EJAE, who sang the theme song for "KPop Demon Hunters," performed the World Cup theme song "DNA" alongside world-renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli, delivering the lyrics in Korean.

BLACKPINK member LISA also appeared at the opening ceremony in Los Angeles, showcasing the significantly elevated status of K-pop stars.
