Rain is expected in various parts of the country today, July 20.
The rainfall will be concentrated mainly in the central regions.
Currently, rain is falling primarily in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province.
Looking at the expected precipitation for today, 10 to 60 mm of rain is forecast for the central regions and northern Gyeongbuk, while 5 to 40 mm is expected in the southern regions.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, South Chungcheong Province, and the Gyeongbuk region, there may be periods of heavy rain with 20 to 30 mm falling per hour.
Meanwhile, the southern regions, where the rain will often be in a lull, will face sweltering heat.
Heat wave warnings have been further expanded, mainly across the south.
In areas under these warnings, the perceived temperature is expected to reach 35°C (95°F) today.
The daytime high in Seoul will remain at 27°C (81°F), keeping it from getting too hot.
Monsoon rain is expected to continue throughout this week.
