▲ The bus and car overturned following the collision
A collision between a bus and a car on a rain-slicked road in Gangneung this morning (July 18) has left four people seriously injured.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:02 a.m. today in Seokgyo-ri, Sacheon-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, when a 25-seater bus and a passenger car traveling in opposite directions collided.
Following the impact, the bus overturned onto its side. Six of the 12 passengers on board managed to escape on their own, while the remaining six were rescued with the assistance of emergency responders.
The two individuals in the passenger car were also able to evacuate safely.
The police plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
