The buzzing sound circling your ears before you fall asleep—there is no more annoying uninvited guest in the summer than a mosquito.
However, a groundbreaking technology to catch these mosquitoes has emerged.
A micro-drone is seen flying around indoors.
A moment later, it dashes toward a small target in the air in an instant.
This is a 'mosquito-hunting drone' currently being developed by a startup in France.
Although it weighs only 40 grams, it uses ultrasonic sensors and microphones to detect the sound of a mosquito's wingbeats, then automatically tracks and eliminates them.
The goal is to patrol the surrounding area 24 hours a day, even outdoors, to control mosquitoes without the need to spray insecticides.
However, it is said that further verification of its performance in actual outdoor environments is still needed.
