Choi Won-jun's Comeback Three-Run Homer and Logan's First Win in 10 Months Lead kt to 4th Consecutive Victory Over LG

The third-place kt wiz in professional baseball have extended their winning streak to four games since the start of the second half, narrowing the gap with the second-place LG Twins.

In a 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League away game held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul today, kt overcame a bases-loaded, one-out walk-off crisis in the bottom of the 9th inning to secure a 4-3 victory.

With this win, kt has closed the gap with LG to 2.5 games.

LG took an early lead in the first inning with a solo home run to left field by Austin Dean.

Austin hit his 28th home run of the season, a 137-meter blast off a cut fastball from Logan, taking sole possession of the league lead in home runs.

kt responded in the second inning. After setting up runners on second and third with one out via a walk and a double, Han Seung-taek hit an RBI single to left field to tie the game at 1-1. With two outs and runners on first and second, Choi Won-jun hit a three-run homer to right field, turning the game around to 4-1.

Following a long stalemate, LG's Oh Ji-hwan ignited a rally in the bottom of the 8th inning with two outs and a runner on first, hitting a two-run homer to left field off a forkball from kt reliever Koki Sugimoto.

In the bottom of the 9th, LG had a golden opportunity to win with the bases loaded and one out following consecutive hits by Hong Chang-ki and Park Hae-min and an intentional walk to Austin. However, Song Chan-eui flied out to the first baseman in foul territory, and Moon Bo-gyeong grounded out to the shortstop, ending the game.

Left-handed pitcher Logan, who joined kt as a replacement for the injured Caleb Boushley and returned to the KBO League, pitched five strong innings, striking out seven and allowing only one run. This marked his first win in nearly 10 months since his victory against the KIA Tigers on September 29 last year while playing for the NC Dinos, and his first win in five games since his return.
