Man in His 30s Indicted for Attempted Sexual Assault of Woman Returning Home in Gangdong-gu

A man in his 30s has been indicted while in custody for attempting to sexually assault a woman who was returning home in the early morning hours.

The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office announced yesterday that it had indicted the man, identified as A, on charges of attempted rape.

A is accused of attempting to sexually assault a woman who was walking home on a road in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, at approximately 2:20 a.m. on June 29.

Police, who were dispatched following a report, tracked down and arrested A after he fled the scene.

The Seoul Eastern District Court issued an arrest warrant for A on July 1, citing the risk of flight.
