It has been confirmed that President Lee Jae-myung has appointed Kim Tae-won, co-CEO of Innored and a former executive at Google Korea, to the newly created position of Secretary to the President for Youth Future.
According to a Blue House official, President Lee approved the appointment of the new secretary on Tuesday, July 14.
Secretary Kim is reported to have begun his duties starting today, July 16.
The newly established position of Secretary for Youth Future has been placed under the Chief of Staff to the President.
The position of Secretary for Youth, which was newly created in the Blue House during the previous Moon Jae-in administration, had been abolished under the organizational structure of the Yoon Suk Yeol administration's presidential office.
Born in 1980, Secretary Kim graduated from the Department of Sociology at Korea University. He worked at Google Korea starting in 2006, eventually serving as a director.
He has previously served as a civilian member of the Presidential Committee on Young Generation and as an adjunct professor at Korea University's School of Media and Communication. Most recently, he served as co-CEO of the advertising agency Innored.
