President Lee Completes Sale of Bundang Apartment: "I Have No Home Now"

It has been reported that the sale of the apartment in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, jointly owned by President Lee Jae-myung and his wife, Kim Hye-kyung, will be completed soon.

During a Cabinet meeting presided over at the Blue House today, President Lee remarked to Prime Minister Han Seong-sook during a discussion following a report from ministries on the "Plan to Collect Public Opinion on Real Estate Policy," saying, "I have no home now."

In this regard, the Blue House explained that the sale process for the Bundang apartment has passed the preliminary contract stage and is nearing the final contract.

Previously, in February, President Lee put the apartment on the market to demonstrate his commitment to normalizing the real estate market, and a preliminary contract was signed immediately.

The Blue House stated, "The party for this final contract is the same individual as the one from the previous preliminary contract," adding, "It took time to finalize the contract due to the land transaction permit process."
