Comedian Lee Su-ji has been diagnosed with vocal cord nodules and will undergo surgery.

On the 14th, her agency, CP Entertainment, stated, "Lee Su-ji was recently diagnosed with vocal cord nodules," adding, "Following medical advice, she will undergo treatment and continue her activities after a sufficient recovery period."

The agency further noted, "We plan to spare no support to ensure she returns in good health," expressing their commitment to doing their best for her quick recovery and physical well-being.

There will be no sudden hiatus or break in her activities due to the vocal cord surgery. Lee Su-ji is currently a regular cast member on the SBS variety show "uh, but like, seriously!", and as there is enough pre-recorded footage, she will continue with the program until the end without leaving mid-season. Additionally, her YouTube channel "Hot Issue-ji," which has 1.38 million subscribers, will also continue to operate without any gaps.

Lee Su-ji, who first stepped into the broadcasting industry as an open recruitment comedian for SBS in 2008, restarted her career as a 27th batch open recruitment comedian for KBS in 2012, where she began to make a name for herself. Since then, she has been greatly loved by viewers for her unrivaled vocal impressions and ability to portray various sub-characters in programs such as "Gag Concert" and "SNL Korea," as well as in various YouTube web variety content.
