A fire broke out at an apartment in Haengdang-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at 11:15 p.m. on July 13, leaving four people injured.
According to fire authorities today (July 14), a man in his 40s, who is a resident of the home where the fire first started, was transported to a hospital with burns over his entire body. Three other residents sustained minor injuries, including smoke inhalation.
A total of 74 residents evacuated on their own.
Fire authorities deployed 22 pieces of equipment and 80 personnel to fully extinguish the blaze approximately 45 minutes after it began.
Fire authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and the specific extent of the damage.
