RESCENE, a group currently writing a success story as a miracle of a small-to-medium agency by topping domestic music charts, has moved into a new home, leaving behind the dormitory where they endured their trainee days and early years of obscurity.
RESCENE first unveiled their new dormitory on the MBC program "Omniscient Interfering View," which aired on July 11. The members entered the new home without any prior knowledge of its layout and burst into cheers the moment they opened the front door. Unable to hide their surprise, they exclaimed, "Is this our house?", "How many pyung is this?", and "It's so beautiful," and were once again amazed to learn that the space was approximately 67 pyung (about 221 square meters).
What cheered the members most was the bathroom situation. In their previous dormitory, all five members shared a single bathroom. It is known that they lived in such cramped conditions that while one person used the toilet, two others would shower and two more would brush their teeth. In contrast, the new home has three bathrooms. The members could not hide their joy, saying, "We could even sleep in the bathroom."
Furthermore, while the members had to use bunk beds in their old dormitory, they now have cozy individual beds. They were repeatedly moved, saying they were "so happy" as they toured the new home, which features a spacious living room, a kitchen, a separate dining area, and air conditioning in every room.
Previously, RESCENE lived in a 44-year-old villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. According to a recent real estate listing site, the villa had a dedicated area of about 38 pyung (about 125 square meters) with four rooms and one bathroom. The terms were a deposit of 50 million won and a monthly rent of 3 million won. It is reported that as RESCENE achieved good results while living there, the description "recommended for trainee dormitories" was added to the real estate site.
RESCENE saw their song "LOVE ATTACK," released in August 2024, experience a resurgence two years later, and they are currently making waves by reaching number one on the Melon Top 100 with their recently released track "Pretty Girl."
