The world-dominating South Korean archery team has swept the men's and women's recurve team events at the 4th stage of the World Cup.
The men's team, consisting of Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall), Kim Je-deok (Yecheon County Office), and Lee Woo-seok (Kolon X-Ten Boys), defeated France 5-3 in the recurve team final at the 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage 4, held in Madrid, Spain, on July 12 (local time).
Following their victories at the 2nd stage in Shanghai, China, and the 3rd stage in Antalya, Turkey, the men's team has now secured three consecutive team titles.
The women's team, composed of Kang Chae-young, Lee Yun-ji (both from Hyundai Mobis), and Oh Ye-jin (Gwangju Bank), also claimed victory by defeating the United States 5-1 in the team final.
After winning bronze medals in the previous two stages, the women's team achieved their first team gold of this year's World Cup.
In the men's individual event, Kim Je-deok took home the bronze medal. After losing 6-4 to Mauro Nespoli (Italy) in the semifinals, he defeated Leon Zechmeister (Germany) 6-2 in the third-place match.
Oh Ye-jin also secured a bronze medal in the women's individual event.
Oh lost 6-4 to Marie Horackova (Czech Republic) in the semifinals but went on to defeat Kirti (India) 7-1 in the bronze medal match.
In the mixed team event, where Kim Woo-jin and Oh Ye-jin competed, South Korea was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Spain and did not reach the podium.
In the compound archery events, the women's team consisting of Park Ye-rin (Korea National Sport University), Park Jung-yoon (Changwon City Hall), and Kang Yeon-seo (Bucheon G-Sports) won a bronze medal.
