Actor Yoon Kyungho has begun his "13-hour vow of silence" to honor the overwhelming success of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Agent Kim Reactivated."
On July 13, Yoon announced the start of his pledge on his social media, sharing a short video with the caption, "I started my vow of silence at 7 AM this morning."
In the video, Yoon says with a determined expression, "I, Yoon Kyungho, swear to faithfully carry out this vow of silence with a grateful heart and without any lies, including in private spaces where cameras cannot follow, such as the shower or the bathroom."
He then announced, "Everyone, I am beginning my 13-hour vow of silence now," officially starting the countdown.
Previously, at the "Agent Kim Reactivated" press conference held on June 25, Yoon made the pledge, stating, "Since So Jisub has returned to SBS after 13 years, if the ratings exceed 13%, I will observe a 13-day vow of silence if my schedule allows. If not, I will do it for at least 13 hours."
Known for being talkative in the entertainment industry, Yoon made the vow himself. "Agent Kim Reactivated" surpassed the 13% target in just two episodes, reaching a nationwide rating of 15.7%. The most recent sixth episode even hit a record-breaking 22.3%, solidifying its position as the biggest hit of the year.
Consequently, Yoon confirmed he would fulfill his promise to the fans. On the day of the pledge, he is scheduled to appear as a guest on the live broadcast of SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show," where he will have to conduct the radio broadcast without saying a word. Following the radio show, he will also hold a fan signing event at the SBS Broadcasting Center in Mok-dong at 4 PM.
Meanwhile, "Agent Kim Reactivated," which has become a major hit, is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It is a "Dad Universe" revenge action drama about an ordinary father who becomes the most dangerous man in the world to rescue his only kidnapped daughter. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM on SBS.
