A taxi driver was seen tailgating a police car in the rain, repeatedly flashing high beams. Let's take a look at the story behind this incident.
The video was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of the National Police Agency.
Recently, in Namdong-gu, Incheon, a taxi pulled up behind a police car waiting at a red light, flashing its high beams.
The taxi driver and a guardian holding a child in their arms hurriedly got out of the vehicle.
The guardian asked for help, stating, "The child has a fever and is unconscious."
The taxi driver also explained the emergency, saying, "I was on my way to the emergency room, but I kept getting stuck at traffic lights, and too much time had passed."
The child had lost consciousness due to a high fever and was experiencing unstable breathing.
The police immediately placed the child and the guardian into the patrol car and headed to the nearest emergency room with sirens blaring. Thanks to citizens who yielded the road upon hearing the sirens, they were able to arrive at the hospital quickly.
The child, who had been suffering from febrile seizures, received treatment and has since been safely discharged from the hospital.
