President Lee Receives Handgun and Ammunition as Gift from Erdogan... "Will Transfer to Presidential Archives"

It has been reported that President Lee Jae-myung received a handgun as a gift from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

President Lee attended the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit held in Ankara, Turkey, for two days starting on July 7.

A presidential official stated today (July 11), "The import of the firearm gift was approved through consultations between the Presidential Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Police Agency," adding, "The Presidential Office will safely transfer the firearm to the Presidential Archives under the management of the Presidential Security Service."

Previously, on July 8, President Erdogan presented leaders of various countries, who were returning home after the two-day summit in Ankara, with a personalized revolver and a box of ammunition.
