Singer and actor IU and actor Lee Jong-suk have ended their four-year public relationship.

IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, and Lee Jong-suk's agency, Ace Factory, stated, "It is true that they have broken up. They have decided to remain good colleagues."

The two first met as hosts for SBS "Inkigayo" in 2012 and began dating in 2022. Having been in a relationship for about four years, it is reported that they recently drifted apart due to their busy schedules and decided to end their relationship.

IU and Lee Jong-suk plan to continue their activities in their respective fields. Lee Jong-suk is preparing for the release of the Disney+ original series "The Remarried Empress" and has also confirmed his appearance in "Iseop's Romance," a live-action adaptation of a popular Naver web novel.

IU has finished filming the MBC series "Perfect Crown" and has begun preparations for a new album. She is also scheduled to hold a concert at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium this coming September.
