Iranian Media Reports Konarak Naval Base in Southeast Struck by Enemy Fighter Jets

A naval base in Konarak, located in the Sistan and Baluchestan province of southeastern Iran, was struck by an airstrike from fighter jets, the state-run IRNA news agency reported on July 9 (local time).

Mohammad Younes Haqqani, the administrative head of Konarak, stated, "The naval military zone was hit twice by enemy fighter jets on the evening of July 9."

He added, "Relevant authorities, including rescue teams and security forces, were immediately dispatched to the scene, and a detailed investigation into the specific circumstances and the extent of the damage is currently underway."
