A heavy rain advisory is issued when the 3-hour rainfall is expected to reach 60mm or the 12-hour rainfall is expected to reach 110mm or more.
It is difficult to stay dry even with an umbrella, and caution is required regarding accidents such as river flooding.
The Korea Meteorological Administration stated that the rain is expected to continue until this evening, with an additional 30 to 80mm of rainfall in the central-northern and southwestern inland areas of Gyeongbuk, and up to 100mm in some areas, before tapering off.

Fire authorities have also taken safety measures to prevent damage from the heavy rain.

An official from the Gyeongsangbuk-do Fire Headquarters stated, "It has been confirmed that there have been no casualties due to the heavy rain so far."
Amid the ongoing monsoon rain, tropical nights have also been observed in parts of Daegu and Gyeongbuk overnight.
As humidity has risen significantly due to the rain, the weather pattern of heavy rain during the day and sweltering heat at night is continuing.
In Gyeongsan, Chilgok, and Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, tropical night advisories were issued for the first time since their introduction this year, as the sweltering night conditions persisted.
According to the Daegu Meteorological Administration, the lowest temperature in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, overnight was 27.3°C (81.1°F) as of 8:00 a.m.
Temperatures also did not drop below 25°C (77°F) overnight in Pohang (26.7°C / 80.1°F), Yeongcheon (26.2°C / 79.2°F), Gyeongju (25.4°C / 77.7°F), Cheongdo (25.7°C / 78.3°F), Daegu (25.3°C / 77.5°F), and Ulleungdo (25.1°C / 77.2°F).
Although the overnight low temperatures in Chilgok (24.5°C / 76.1°F) and Uiseong (23.9°C / 75.0°F) did not meet the criteria for a tropical night, the weather remained relatively hot.
A KMA official emphasized, "As daytime highs are expected to rise above 31°C (88°F) and the peak sensible temperature will be around 31°C (88°F) (and over 33°C (91°F) in areas under heat wave alerts) for the time being, people should take care of their health."
