Soccer commentator Park Moon-sung attended an emergency forum titled "Diagnosis and Alternatives for the Crisis in Korean Soccer," held at the National Assembly on July 8, where he launched a fierce critique of the Korea Football Association's (KFA) operational structure.
Park pointed out that the essence of the crisis in Korean soccer lies in a structure where the association faces no accountability for its mistakes and remains indifferent to the voices of fans and those in the field.
He emphasized that unless the closed election system for the association president and the decision-making structure are reformed, fundamental change will remain elusive, regardless of who is appointed as the new coach or president.
Furthermore, he urged the establishment of transparent governance where accountability is demanded for failures and where checks and balances, as well as critical feedback, can function effectively.
