Kim Gilli (Seongnam City Hall), a double gold medalist in women's short track speed skating at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, has donated 10.72 million won to the international child development organization Compassion Korea.
700 Creators, Kim's management agency, announced today (July 8) that "the donation was raised by combining 720,000 won from the participation fees of a fan meeting held last month with 10 million won contributed personally by Kim."
Upon delivering the donation to Compassion Korea, Kim stated, "I was able to start this sponsorship thanks to my fans, and I am even happier to be able to practice meaningful sharing together." She added, "I hope this provides a small boost to children in Kenya so they can grow up in a more secure and warm environment."
Compassion Korea plans to use the funds donated by Kim to support children and families in Kenya facing a food crisis.
