The Geumgang Flood Control Office issued a flood advisory for the Dongseong Bridge point on the Nonsan Stream in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, effective as of 3:40 p.m. today.
The measure was taken as the water level at the Dongseong Bridge point reached 5.15 meters as of 3:30 p.m., nearing the 6-meter threshold for a flood advisory.
The Geumgang Flood Control Office notified the public of this situation via emergency disaster text messages and urged residents to "take precautions to prevent damage."
As of 3:50 p.m. today, 41 mm of monsoon rain has fallen in Nonsan.
