A driver has died after his vehicle skidded on a rain-slicked road and crashed into a guardrail in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province.
At approximately 7:15 a.m. today (July 8), a vehicle driven by a man in his 40s, identified as A, struck a guardrail on a road heading toward Goyang near Jangheung Tunnel in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, before veering off the road and coming to a stop in a thicket.
A was transported to a hospital in cardiac arrest following the accident but was later pronounced dead.
It is reported that the vehicle skidded on the wet road immediately after exiting the tunnel, leading to the crash.
The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
