Man in His 20s Arrested for Stabbing Friend to Death After Victim Called for Help

The Gyeongsan Police Station in North Gyeongsang Province has arrested a man in his 20s, identified as A, on charges of stabbing his friend to death.

According to police, A is accused of stabbing his friend, B, also in his 20s, multiple times at his apartment in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, at approximately 4:00 a.m. on July 4.

After being stabbed, B managed to call another friend to report the attack. Police and emergency responders were dispatched following that friend's report.

However, B was already dead when they arrived at the scene.

It was determined that another friend was sleeping in the apartment at the time of the incident, in addition to A and B.

A had been drinking with B and other friends shortly before the crime occurred.

A police official stated, "It is presumed that an argument took place after they had been drinking," adding, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident as the suspect is refusing to provide a statement regarding the motive for the crime."
