Driver in His 50s Arrested for Driving Under Influence of Meth in Downtown Seoul; Police Seek Arrest Warrant

A driver in his 50s has been apprehended by police for operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs in downtown Seoul.

The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station arrested the individual, identified as A, in the act on the evening of July 4 at around 8:00 p.m. on charges of driving his vehicle in the Jayang-dong area of Seoul while under the influence of methamphetamine.

Police, who were dispatched following a report from a witness suspecting drunk driving, discovered substances suspected to be narcotics inside A's vehicle. A subsequent field test returned a positive result, leading police to apprehend and investigate A on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station has filed for an arrest warrant for A.
