A white SUV is seen moving.
The vehicle stops briefly in an alley, circles the area, and continues to weave through the alleys.
This is footage of Jang Yoon-gi following the victim just before committing the crime.
After getting out of the car, Jang is also seen looking around as if searching for someone.
After stalking the victim for about 15 minutes, Jang parked his car at the scene of the crime and got out. At this moment, a white object was captured on the dashcam of a cargo truck parked in front of Jang's vehicle.
Based on the evidence, the prosecution has determined that this white object was the rear passenger door of Jang's vehicle, which he had left open toward the sidewalk.
[Kim Jin-hee / Chief Prosecutor, Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office: There is an investigative report stating that Jang is captured moving around the passenger seat area, and shortly after, an unidentified white object appears. Since the car was parked toward the sidewalk, we believe he opened and left that door ajar toward the sidewalk side...]
During questioning by the prosecution, Jang claimed that if he had intended to kidnap the victim, he would have left the car door open in advance and subdued her before passing the vehicle to load her inside. However, the prosecution believes that Jang acted exactly as he described in his statement in order to commit a sex crime.
Additionally, images of two "real dolls" that Jang's father, a police inspector surnamed Jang, personally retrieved from Jang's residence and discarded, have been released.
Based on a comprehensive review of these investigative findings, the prosecution has upgraded the charges against Jang from murder to rape and murder.
