A truck carrying chemical substances collided with another transport vehicle and exploded in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of northern China, resulting in six casualties.
According to China's state-run Xinhua News Agency on July 5, the accident occurred at approximately 11:27 a.m. today on a national highway in East Ujimqin Banner, Inner Mongolia, when a truck loaded with ammonium nitrate collided with another vehicle, leaving two people dead and four others injured.
Ammonium nitrate is a chemical widely used as a raw material for agricultural fertilizers and industrial explosives, and it can cause large-scale explosions under certain conditions.
The injured have been transported to a hospital for treatment, and local authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
