Monsoon Rain Across the Country; Over 120mm of Heavy Rain Expected in Jeju Mountainous Areas

As the stationary front moves northward, monsoon rain is expected across the country.

Currently, rain clouds are located over parts of the southern coast, Jeju Island, and various inland areas.

While the intensity is mostly weak, strong rain clouds, indicated in red, have developed over Geumsan, where rain is falling at a rate of around 10mm per hour.

Rain will continue to fall intermittently across the country throughout today.

The expected precipitation ranges from a minimum of 5mm to a maximum of 80mm, with over 120mm of heavy rain forecasted for the mountainous regions of Jeju Island.

It will be muggy today.

The daytime high in Seoul will reach 30°C (86°F), and Daegu will reach 28°C (82°F).

The perceived temperature will be about 1 to 2 degrees higher than the actual temperature.

As the monsoon season continues for the time being, please take necessary precautions to avoid any damage from the rain.
