A man in his 70s has died after entering the sea at a beach while intoxicated.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. today (July 4), a man in his 70s, identified as A, was found in cardiac arrest after entering the water at Kkotji Beach in Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, while under the influence of alcohol.
It is reported that A had visited the beach with his former classmates and entered the water without informing his companions while intoxicated.
When A could not be seen, his companions reported the situation to the Coast Guard and fire authorities. A was transported to a nearby hospital but eventually passed away.
The Coast Guard and fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
