A vehicle has crashed into a commercial building near Nonhyeon Station in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
According to police and fire authorities, a white passenger car crashed into the commercial building in reverse at approximately 1:50 p.m. today (July 3).
The accident left a woman in her 30s, who was inside a first-floor restaurant, with a serious injury, including a broken leg, and she was transported to a nearby hospital.
Four other people who were in the restaurant also sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospitals.
The driver, a parking attendant in his 70s identified as A, told SBS, "It happened because I mistook the accelerator pedal for the brake."
It was reported that A was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
