The South Korean women's junior handball team has concluded the International Handball Federation (IHF) U-20 World Championship in 16th place.
The national team lost 27-29 (12-15, 15-14) to Austria in the 15th-16th place classification match held today at the Jinzhong Gymnasium in Shanxi, China.
With this result, the team finished the tournament in 16th place following consecutive losses to Hungary (25-34) and Austria in the 13th-16th place classification matches.
In this tournament, which featured 32 participating nations, the South Korean team cruised through the group stage to reach the round of 16. However, they were relegated to the classification matches after failing to reach the quarterfinals following consecutive losses to Germany and Romania.
