The Student and Parent Human Rights Protection Solidarity held an emergency relay press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education today (July 3) to demand an immediate end to what they described as the collective suppression of Paichai High School students and the "terror" caused by funeral wreaths placed at the school. Approximately 30 participants, including parents, teachers, and citizens, attended the event to voice four specific demands: an immediate halt to the witch hunt and human rights violations against Paichai High School students; strict punishment for the act of placing funeral wreaths in front of the school, which threatens the students' mental health; immediate protective measures for students from the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and political circles; and the withdrawal of disciplinary actions by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education as well as the Korea Baseball Softball Association's six-month suspension of the Paichai High School baseball team from national tournaments.
