On July 2, a video titled "Life of Simon Dominic" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Life84." In the video, Kian84 visited the home of his same-aged friend, Simon Dominic, for the first time in eight years, continuing a close friendship that began through their appearance on the MBC show "I Live Alone."
Upon visiting Simon Dominic's home after such a long time, Kian84, knowing his friend's hobby of collecting watches, asked him to "show me your expensive watches." Simon Dominic firmly refused, drawing a clear line by saying, "My expensive watches are in a safe. I won't even tell anyone where the safe is anymore."
Behind Simon Dominic's extreme sensitivity regarding his safe and security lies a harrowing incident. He calmly revealed, "A thief once broke into my house and stole my most extravagant, full-diamond watch," surprising Kian84. The watch is known to be an ultra-luxury item currently valued at approximately 700 million to 1 billion won.
Simon Dominic also shared the cinematic story of how the thief was caught. "The thief had put the watch up for consignment sale at a watch shop I frequently visit," he explained. "As it happened, a friend of mine who owns the same model went to that shop to buy one and discovered my watch. I got a call, went there myself, and saw the watch sparkling."
"My wrists are thin, so when I tried it on, it fit perfectly," Simon Dominic recalled vividly. "There were no extra links to adjust the band, so I knew for sure it was mine." He continued, "Eventually, at 10:00 AM on Christmas Eve, I went to the shop with the police and checked the CCTV to identify the thief's face. We were able to catch the culprit immediately because they had left a copy of their ID when they put the watch up for consignment."
However, regarding the fate of the watch he so dramatically recovered, he added, "Because it had been stolen, the energy felt wrong, so I sold it right away."
When Kian84 expressed genuine concern, saying, "It must be scary to have a thief break into your house. What if you had run into them and gotten stabbed?" Simon Dominic nodded and confessed to the lingering trauma. "That is why I no longer do any filming at my home," he said. Indeed, in the video released that day, all background elements that might reveal the location of his home or his private life were thoroughly blurred.
