The mixed duo TOGEWORL, consisting of members Do Dae-yoon and Lim Kim, is set to appear on television as a full group after 12 years.
The production team for the new KBS 2TV variety show Happy Together: Glad We Are Not Alone recently teased the duo's appearance through their official social media channels. The released teaser video features Do Dae-yoon and Lim Kim side-by-side, accompanied by the caption, "TOGEWORL, slightly awkward after meeting for the first time in 10 years." The two shared a laugh and posed for a heart gesture, delighting long-time fans.
This marks the first time that TOGEWORL will stand on stage as a complete group on a broadcast since their appearance on Mnet's Superstar K3 in 2011.
Do Dae-yoon and Lim Kim were selected through the U.S. auditions and participated in the competition under the name TOGEWORL, which signifies that they formed the team just two months prior. They gained immense popularity and finished in third place.
TOGEWORL garnered attention as a mixed duo, blending Lim Kim's unique vocal tone with Do Dae-yoon's sweet voice and guitar playing. However, the team entered a long hiatus as Do Dae-yoon moved to New Jersey, while Lim Kim continued her career as an actor and singer. Lim Kim later transformed into the artist Lim Kim, earning critical acclaim for her distinct and powerful musical style.
In 2024, Do Dae-yoon appeared on the KBS Joy program Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller, where he revealed that he had struggled with his mental health due to sudden fame and a hectic schedule following Superstar K3. He shared that around the age of 20, he was involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric hospital by his mother due to symptoms of bipolar disorder and received treatment for two months. After transitioning into a solo artist, Do Dae-yoon reunited with Lim Kim on stage at the 2024 Seoul Jazz Festival.
