U.S. June Job Growth Hits 57,000, Falling Short of Expectations

The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on July 2 (local time) that the number of non-farm payroll jobs in the U.S. increased by 57,000 in June compared to the previous month.

This figure is significantly lower than the 115,000 increase projected by experts (based on Dow Jones estimates).

The unemployment rate stood at 4.2%, which was lower than the expert forecast of 4.3%.
