NC Dinos Sign Blaine Crim, Who Hit 20+ Homers for 5 Consecutive Minor League Seasons

The NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on Wednesday that they have signed a new foreign player, right-handed infielder Blaine Crim.

The NC Dinos stated, "We have signed a contract with Blaine for a total of 325,000 USD (approximately 500 million KRW), including a remaining salary of 275,000 USD and 50,000 USD in options."

Blaine has recorded a batting average of .200 with 13 hits, including 5 home runs, in 65 at-bats over 20 career games in Major League Baseball (MLB). In the minor leagues, he has posted a career batting average of .290 with 134 home runs and 530 RBIs in 728 games.

He hit at least 20 home runs in every season from 2021 to 2025.

In the 2026 season, he did not play in the big leagues and recorded a batting average of .265 with 10 home runs and 50 RBIs in 57 games at the Triple-A level in the minor leagues.

"Blaine is a hitter with both on-base ability and power," said Im Sun-nam, general manager of the NC Dinos. "We expect him to play the role of both a connector in the batting lineup and a clutch hitter."

Blaine will join the team on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the NC Dinos released their previous foreign hitter, Matt Davidson, on June 26.

Davidson, the 2024 KBO League home run leader, signed with the Kiwoom Heroes immediately after his release.
