Police Arrest Man in His 70s for Stabbing Acquaintance at Ilmin Museum of Art in Seoul

A man has been arrested by police for wielding a weapon against an acquaintance at the Ilmin Museum of Art building in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The Seoul Jongno Police Station announced that it apprehended the suspect, a man in his 70s identified as A, in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, at approximately 5:50 p.m. today (June 26).

A is accused of attacking his colleague, B, with a weapon on the fourth floor of the Ilmin Museum of Art, located inside the Dong-A Ilbo building in Jongno-gu, at around 7:50 a.m. today.

It was reported that A subsequently took a taxi to Samgakji Station in Seoul.

B sustained an injury to the arm and was transported to a hospital; their condition is not considered life-threatening.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances and motive behind the crime before requesting an arrest warrant for A.
