Actress Song Hyekyo is embarking on a new chapter after parting ways with UAA, her agency of 14 years.
On June 26, UAA announced, "Our exclusive contract with Song Hyekyo has recently expired. Having built a long-standing relationship based on mutual trust, UAA and Song Hyekyo have decided to conclude our journey together and will continue to support each other's future endeavors."
Song Hyekyo signed with UAA when the agency was established in November 2012. She shared a long-standing professional relationship with CEO Park Hyun-jung, dating back to their time as actress and manager before the agency's inception. As UAA's first artist, she spent over a decade with the company, starring in hit projects such as "Descendants of the Sun" and "The Glory."
According to industry insiders, Song Hyekyo plans to establish her own one-person agency.
Song Hyekyo is currently awaiting the release of the upcoming Netflix series "Slowly, Fiercely."
